At the international motor show in Sao Paulo, held in November 2013, Renault's sports division - RenaultSport - was marked by the premiere of a "heated" version of the compact sedan Fluence, which received the prefix "GT" to the name. But the matter was not limited to one nameplate, and the car was also added aggression to its appearance and a powerful turbo engine was "prescribed" under its hood.

In the summer of 2015, a modernized version of the four-door made its debut, which was refreshed in appearance, slightly "pumped" the power plant and assigned the designation "GT2".

It will not be difficult to recognize the “charged” Renault Fluence against the background of a “civilian” model - its body is crowned with a sports body kit with aggressive bumpers and a small spoiler on the trunk lid, as well as side mirrors and door handles in a “metallic” color. The picture is completed by the original wheel rims measuring 17 inches.

The Renault Fluence GT is 4641 mm long, 1813 mm wide, 1501 mm high, and its wheelbase is 2703 mm. The curb weight of the car does not exceed 1300 kg.

The interior of the "heated" sedan stands out against the background of the base "Fluence" with sports front seats with a developed side profile, aluminum pedals and contrasting red inserts on the dashboard, door panels and seats.

It has no other features - a pleasant design, excellent finishing materials, a large supply of free space and a 530-liter luggage compartment.

Specifications. The Renault Fluence GT is powered by a 2.0-liter four-cylinder petrol unit with distributed fuel injection, 16-valve timing, turbocharging and intercooling, generating 190 horsepower at 5500 rpm and 300 Nm of torque at 2250 rpm.
The power flow is delivered to the wheels of the front axle through a 6-speed manual transmission.

From a standstill to 100 km / h, the "charged" three-volume vehicle breaks down in 8 seconds, and the acceleration stops only when it reaches 222 km / h.

In terms of design, the Renault Fluence GT largely repeats the standard car: a front-wheel drive platform with independent McPherson struts in front and a semi-independent beam at the rear, as well as a rack and pinion steering gear with an electric mechanism (however, both the chassis and the steering system have sports settings).
The car "flaunts" a powerful braking complex with ventilated 296 mm discs on the front and 260 mm discs on the rear axle, supplemented by ABS, EBD, ASR and other assistants.

Price. Sales of the Renault Fluence GT2 are carried out in Latin America, and in Argentina, the cost for it starts at 406,800 local pesos (~ $ 27,200). The car is not officially sold on the Russian market and in European countries.
The initial configuration of the "charged" sedan implies the presence of: six airbags, 17-inch wheel disks, an infotainment system, bi-xenon optics, dual-zone "climate", ABS, EBD, ASR, ESP and other "gadgets".
