Lada Vesta Cross is a front-wheel drive sedan with cross-country ability, "protruding" in the C-class according to the European classification, which combines visual appeal, versatility and a reasonable price tag ...

It is addressed primarily to people aged 25 to 45 who lead an active lifestyle and prefer outdoor recreation ...

At the end of summer 2016, at the Moscow International Motor Show, the conceptual off-road sedan Lada Vesta with the “Cross” marking in the name officially debuted at the Moscow International Motor Show, which followed in the footsteps of the station wagon of the same name and received an “all-terrain” appearance, increased ground clearance and minor improvements in decoration ... The serial version of the car, which, according to the Togliatti automaker, “is a unique offer on the market by establishing a new segment,” was presented to the public on April 17, 2018 as part of a special event held in Moscow. At the same time, on the way to the conveyor, the "raised" three-volume visually (in comparison with the show car) did not change.

Recognizing Lada Vesta Cross is as easy as shelling pears - a cross-country sedan "flaunts" a body kit made of unpainted plastic on the lower part of the body, twin tailpipes of a non-standard shape, increased ground clearance and light-alloy "rollers" measuring 17 inches.

In length, the "all-road Vesta" in a three-volume body extends to 4410 mm, in width is 1785 mm, and in height reaches 1526 mm. A 2635 mm base is observed between the pairs of wheels of the car, and under the bottom it has an impressive ground clearance of 203 mm.

In the interior, Lada Vesta Cross stands out with a contrasting decor to match the body color on the doors, dashboard, seats and steering wheel, trimmed with leather, as well as an armrest box between the front seats.

In general, in design, quality of materials and workmanship and cargo-passenger characteristics, the three-volume box repeats its basic "brother".

For the "all-terrain" sedan, two petrol four-cylinder engines are offered (the same as for the usual "brother") with distributed fuel injection and a 16-valve timing:

  • The base variant is a 1.6-liter engine producing 106 horsepower at 5800 rpm and 148 Nm of torque at 4200 rpm.
  • It is followed by a 1.8-liter unit in the hierarchy, which produces 122 hp. at 5900 rpm and 170 Nm of available torque at 3700 rpm.

Both motors by default work in conjunction with a 5-speed "mechanics" and a front-wheel drive transmission, but for the "senior" a 5-band "robot" is provided for an extra charge.

How dynamic, fast and economical the car is is not yet reported.

From a technical point of view, Lada Vesta Cross has no significant differences from the standard model and is based on a front-wheel drive "bogie" with independent front and semi-independent rear suspension (MacPherson struts and torsion beam, respectively).

The car has an electric power steering and braking system with disc devices "in a circle" (ventilated at the front). However, it is worth noting that the four-door can boast of different springs and shock absorbers than the usual "brother".

In the Russian market, the Lada Vesta Cross sedan is offered (since June 2018) only in the “Luxe” version at a price of 763,900 rubles - this is how much they ask for a model with a 1.6-liter engine and “mechanics”.

Nominally, the car boasts: four airbags, 17-inch alloy wheels, heated front seats, ABS, ESP, climate control, electric heated windshield, light and rain sensors, rear parking sensors, ERA-GLONASS system, electric windows for all doors, "cruise" , electric and heated exterior mirrors, a four-speaker audio system and more.

"Raised" three-volume with a 1.8-liter unit costs from 788,900 rubles, and also with a "robot" - from 813,900 rubles.

There are two optional packages for it - "Multimedia" and "Prestige", estimated at 28,000 and 46,000 rubles, respectively. The first one includes a media center with a navigator and a rear-view camera, and the second (in addition to the above options) - enhanced tinted rear windows, heated second row of seats, an additional USB socket, a center armrest of the rear sofa and atmospheric lighting in the area of the door handles and front legs riders.
