The public display of the 4th generation Volkswagen Caddy van took place for the first time, along with the cargo-passenger modification, in the Polish city of Poznan - in early February 2015, but it celebrated its "world debut" in front of the general public at the Geneva Motor Show in March of the same year. For European buyers, this car became available in the summer of 2015, and reached Russian car dealerships only by the fall.

The exterior of the "exclusively cargo Cuddy" of the fourth generation is designed in the same style as the exterior of the compact van, with the exception of the rear - the van, according to its specifics, lacks rear side windows.

In addition, the "cargo heel" is equipped with unpainted bumpers by default (for reasons of practicality and cost reduction). The overall dimensions of the van are completely similar to those of a compact van.

Salon "heel" is somewhat simpler than the interior of passenger versions, although the architecture is similar. In the simplest versions, on the center console, you can see the organs and dummy controls that control a conventional stove, and in the more expensive versions, climate control and a color display of the multimedia system.

But, regardless of the level of equipment, the interior of the VW Caddy Kasten is distinguished by a high level of performance, both in terms of the materials used and in terms of assembly.

The German minivan has ergonomic seats with an optimal profile, dense padding and significant adjustment possibilities.

The cargo compartment is separated from the driver's cabin by a partition, has the correct shape and can hold up to 3200 liters of luggage.

Specifications. The power line of the 4th generation Volkswagen Caddy Kasten consists of four diesel engines with a capacity of 75 to 150 horsepower, as well as three gasoline units generating from 84 to 125 "horses".
There are four gearboxes - “mechanics” with 5 or 6 steps, 6 or 7-band “robot” DSG, by default they will direct traction to the front wheels, but 4MOTION all-wheel drive technology is also available.

In terms of platform design, the van does not differ from the cargo-passenger model.

Prices. In the Russian market, the "fourth" Volkswagen Caddy in a van body (as of 2017) is available at a price of ~ 1.1 million rubles. In the minimum configuration, this car is equipped with: driver's airbag, ABS, tire pressure monitoring system, electric power steering, DRL.
