In October 2003, the Japanese company Honda put the Odyssey minivan to the court of the world community of the next, third in a row, incarnation, which changed radically in comparison with the previous model both in terms of design and in terms of technical "filling". In April 2006, the car underwent a partial update, during which some improvements were made to its external and internal equipment, after which it was mass-produced until 2008.

"Odyssey" of the third generation is a five-door minivan with a seven-seater "inner world" configuration, which is 4770 mm long, 1550 mm high and 1800 mm wide.

For the gap between the axles of the "Japanese" allocated 2830 mm, and its ground clearance does not exceed 155 mm. In the "stowed" state, the weight of the single-volume container varies from 1600 to 1700 kg, depending on the version.

The engine compartment of the "third" Honda Odyssey was occupied by an atmospheric 2.4-liter gasoline engine with four vertically oriented cylinders, distributed injection, a DOHC type gas distribution mechanism with 16 valves and phase shifters at the inlet and outlet, which was offered in two pumping options.
By default, the engine generated 160 horsepower and 218 Nm of ultimate thrust, and in the "top" modification - 200 "horses" and 232 Nm of torque (on all-wheel drive cars - 190 forces).
The car was equipped with a stepless variator or 5-band "automatic", front or automatically activated all-wheel drive.

The third incarnation of the Odyssey is based on the front-wheel drive architecture of the Honda Accord with a transversely based power unit and independent suspension on both axles (double wishbone at the front and multi-link at the rear) with transverse stabilizers.
The machine is equipped with a gear-rack-type steering system with an integrated hydraulic booster. The single-volume brake system consists of front and rear disc devices (in the first case with ventilation), which are assisted by ABS and other electronics.

The strengths of the "third" Honda Odyssey are high reliability, good looks, high-quality and roomy interior, excellent handling, excellent comfort level, powerful engines, good dynamics, rich equipment and much more.
But the owners most often attribute the minivan's disadvantages to fuel "gluttony", the high cost of original spare parts and a modest clearance under the "belly".
